im 16 years old, approx 165cm tall, and weigh about 51 kg.
i eat reasonably healthy, but over christmas had a horrible diet.
i also go to many social things, where its hard to get healthy food, so i decided if i was going to get fit for the soccer season, and various other sports/activities i had to do something.
so now ive gone on a sort of, healthy eating plan. im not restricting my food intake (coz thats bad?), but more eating healthier foods. like wholemeal bread, plenty of grains, oats, nuts, fruit and veges, and lean meats.
the last few days ive been jogging for 50 minutes, and have been going about 6km. is this a rlyyy bad time for the distance?
then ive been swimming in the pool for about 20.
will this exercise help substancially?
also, when i go out its so hard to eat healthily, like at parties etc, and when i try to bring my own say, salad roll i get laughed at.
would an occasional handful of chips ruin all my hard work?
thanks for your replies, and i understand the contents of the foods im eating, therefore im eating them in the correct ratios (eg, i know nuts contain fats, etc)
essentially im not trying to lose weight, the doctor said im tall and thin for my age, but its more about keeping healthy and fit for me.
i was just wondering if the combination of healthy foods, and the exercise ive been doing is enough to keep me fit and healthy, and whether the occasional item of junk food will do much harm
