Will this public fascination with UFC ever fade out...?

Do you also think it is breeding a generation or brutal young kids? I hear of so called fighting "clubs" going between High School aged kids and I think its sickening.

I am a UFC fan.. but I think the arrogant attitudes of young kids are spreading.
Who's fault is this? The gym's fault? And why is it that a lot of MMA trainers seem to be the people who think their form of fighting is the best, and tend to hate on other forms.

Oh, and a lot of these kids seem to think that just because they go out and buy a "Affliction" or "TapOut" shirt, that makes them a bad a-s-s. haha so wrong.

Will this UFC generation eventually fade out?

When I was a kid in high school we had fight clubs and UFC wasn't even on T.V. back then. Boys will always be boys, they will want to fight and be arrogant to show others they are best. No the UFC is not to blame , neither is the MMA movement, blame nature. Boys will fight each other in high school this has always happened. About the T-shirts people can wear whatever they want, and if they think that shirt gives them super powers , so be it they can use it to whip off the blood from their face when they get a reality check.

But you're kinda wrong on the clothing , I personally own a few Affliction shirts simply because I love the designs

Young kids.........have you seen MMA fans? Adults all act like this. They think because they drink, have tattoos, and where t-shirts that lool "cool" or "bad" that that makes them tough. I can't stand MMA fans and yes this UFC bubble will burst eventually.

I don't see UFC getting less popular. It won't ever be as popular as Football, Basketball, or Baseball, but I bet the average man between 18-45 could name just as many UFC fighters as he could male tennis or hockey players.

I also don't think UFC encourages teenage violence. Martial arts requires a lot of discipline to participate in. You have to train, eat right, stay in shape, learn the techniques, commit to work on days you feel like and day you don't, and many other things that really develop character.

I think those street fighting videos are more part of the gang and rap culture than that of a professional sport; or perhaps likened to that of the movie "Fight Club".

I have to agree with you on your last point, there are definitely a lot of poser-types out there walking around with their chests puffed out wearing their favorite MMA brand of clothing. It's kind of sad.

Keep in mind, in past generations there were 19 year old boys walking around in Bruce Lee shirts thinking that kata, board breaking, and point sparring in their theory-based Asian arts could protect them in a street fight, so the trend will always exist in some form.
