Will Volkswagen GTi MK4 seats fit in a MK3 GTi?

I am considering purchasing MK4 seats front and rear. Will they fit in my MK3 GTi or is this a waste of time/money?
 
The bolt patten on a MK3 is the same as an MK2 but unfortunatly they are different for MK3 to MK4...you coult pull the carpet and reweld in dirrerent mounts but I don't know how cost effective that would be. Depends on your still level. Check into aftermaket seats compared to paying a body shop to do the work. I bet you would find it cheeper to buy aftermarket.
