Windows Vista doesn't exit out of internet.?

Everytime I go on the internet and push the x button it goes to a blank white page. I know to push Ctrl+Alt+Delete and it works. But it is very annoying to do that everytime. Is there a way to get this to stop?
The current tab's one works fine. the top right corner one is the problem.
