Wireless internet is going very slow now, is it the connection, or my computer?

What's happenin'? I'm staying out of a Studio 6 in Florida. When I first got here, the connection was fast, I mean, pages were loading up at the mirror thought of clicking on them. Now, to click on a link may be to make a life long commitment. I can't figure out if it's the Studio 6's connection, or if it's my WiFi card or computer. How can I tell, and furthermore, is there a way to optimize my WiFi card?

Oh, and I've already cleared browser cache, and temp files.

1.)Reset the wireless router by using the power switch on it or by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
2.)Place the wireless router in an ideal location. The higher it is, the better, but don't put it near metal objects.
