Woke up with Bell's Palsy last night, is it due to inflammation or a virus?

Okay yesterday last night I was sleeping and several things might have caused my Bell's palsy. First I woke up after what I believe was a night terror (I'm assuming that since I woke up crying). The next factor was the environment, my window was open and it was cold in my room, I also slept weird obviously and perhaps being in a weird position damaged a nerve. I wore contacts that night and I also got my wisdom teeth removed about a year ago. So my question is my Bells palsy due to inflammation or a virus. Also, can it spread and does it last long?
