she could like you, or mabie she thinks you guys have a very serios friendship (but i think she likes you). You still need to give her time though obviosly she was in a serios relationship and right now she needs you to understand that...good luck
 
There is a girl I am friends with that I like (we had not seen each other in 3 years and we were recently reconnected). She turned me down about a month ago because she said she had just gotten out of 4 year relationship and wanted time to be single. We actually started working together a week ago and it seems like she hangs on my every word though when we talk at work now. I also like to make jokes and mess with her. Sometimes I say completely ridiculous things and she thinks I am being serious. Like the other day I gave her a ride home from work and we stopped at a record store first so I could pick up a gift. I saw her looking at a poster on how to kill zombies (she loves zombie movies) and I said; "You know they did a lot of research into zombie physiology and behavior to make this poster." and she just looked at me and said "Really?!" like she totally believed me. This has happened quite a few times. Why would someone as intelligent as her (we are both studying to become forensic scientists) take that seriously? Is she just playing dumb with me because she does like me? I even tested her once by telling a really inappropriate joke and a dumb joke and she still laughed.

I know she is a very shy girl so she probably won't make any overt advances or signs that she is interested like touching me or anything verbal to suggest other wise.

I feel like there is some kind of tension between us whether or not she does is a different story. When I dropped her off yesterday she leaned over to give me a hug and had our other coworker not been in the backseat (neither one of them has a car so they were carpooling with me) I probably would have tried to kiss her.
 
It seems like she likes you. As the way she laughs at your jokes and everything. :) .
