Would a gas station allow a printed out copy of an ID to purchase cigarettes?

No. It must be an official ID. They can accept Drivers license, military ID, etc. They will not and cannot accept a printed out piece of paper. If they do, they are subject to fines, arrest, and termination. Even if you are of legal age, if they do not follow the proper protocol they can get into trouble.

No. Not unless it's the official temporary license, and even then, probably not. I can photocopy my husband's ID. That doesn't make me him.

You need an OFFICIAL state ID, or a military ID. You can't just take a copy of your older sib's ID down to the gas station.
