...Car Stereos? I cut off my factory harness (see diagram that follows)
This is the adapter that is physically connected to the car > :::]---| ( | = Car)
This is the factory harness that is removeable > :::]-------[:::}-- ( }--- = Adapter thing that connects to the car adapter) the other side is the part that connects the wires to the stereo head unit
I cut off the first part of the harness that connects to the head unit but I think it was a mistake, I purchased a new Harness for 1998 Honda but I cannot connect it because the only piece that fits into the new adapter is the piece I cut off, and now I need to hard wire it with insulation tape - but the wires of the factory harness is mostly all different colours than the new harness and the harness from the new stereo head unit which explains me cutting off it earlier because I wanted to hard wire it, but then decided to buy a new harness and now it shows I need to hardwire it as planned before, but the wires don't seem to be where they are.
I only have two front speakers - Would anyone know how to lets say translate the wiring colours to match the current new adapter/harness colours besides the standard Yellow and Black wires, only struggle is the new harnesses have only one red wire but the factory harness has three red wires and none of them are a solid red wire. The one red wire has a Black line in it and the other two red wires have two other coloured lines.
Would anyone be able to give me some tips or answers to wiring it properly, according to colour? If anyone knows about Honda factory harnesses and such, please, I could really use some help and there are no local car stereo installers where live who work on a long weekend.
Just some help or advice
Please and thank you
