I'm thinking about doing this because at the mo i'm not that interested..
Jane good point, but I do like her, I knew her from school 11 years ago and we met up again recently.. but I'm a bit tied up in my own life.. But I do like HER and wont hurt her.
 
Depends on how interested your mate is and how good your reason is. Just make sure you make a new time when you are cancelling it.
 
Shouldn't. Because things happen and out of our control. And if your date doesn't understand that, she'd (he'd) better be rich, good fuc!<, or very pretty because life will suck with him/her, gotta have something valuable.
And it sholdn't matter if your reasons are good or not good anough. If the reason is good anough for you, you date shold trust you on this.
