Would I be allowed to travel using my passport if...?

Hi I'm 17.

Soon, I'll be going on holiday to Spain. my passport expires in 2012, so it's currently 3 years old. the thing is, the picture of me looks young, but i look a lot older now. i spose people would be able to tell it's me, but i do look quite a bit older.

would i still be allowed to travel on it?

Yes. Most likely. I don't look a thing like my passport picture and I recently went to France with no questioning at all.

I believe that a passport only lasts 4 years "unless dramatic changes" have been made to your appearance. Such as children or teens getting older, changes in hair color, etc... I would go into a records/license center and show it to them and ask if it is okay. Will only take 2 min
