Would keeping my characters' identities secret lose people's interest?

Basically I am writing this story where no-one will truly know two of the three characters identities until either the end of the first or the start of the second chapter. If you were reading a book where that happened, would it make you interested or make you lose interest?

And also, what if I didn't reveal the name of the third character until the end?
 
I would find that boring and a little frustrating, but that's just a matter of taste - if you did it the right way, I bet there would be people who would like it.
 
No, I think it will keep them starving for more. You have a great idea stick with it.
