My 2008 Acura TL 3.2 sedan has 45,000 miles and is low on engine coolant. I bought my car is November 21,2009 and it was on the halfway mark now it's way below the minimum mark on the reserve tank.

Covered under warranty issue?
Also can a Honda dealership work on it?
The closes Acura dealership is 2 hours away.
I do my own oil changes with mobil 1 synthetic, oil filter and air filter.

The car is still under factory warranty.

Depends wat warranty u got. They vary widely as to coverage and terms such as expiration by mileage, and by date.

Hopefully u got long-term, bumper-to-bumper FACTORY [not third party] warranty.

Unfortunately most ppL get power train warranty which would exclude the cooling system among many other systems such as electrical, electronic, fuel, climate control & suspension.

But u may have a simple prob of a loose fitting or leaky hose causing the coolant loss.

If u see wet spots on the ground, or in the engine compartment after ur car has sat awhile, like overnite, try to trace their source, maybe u can just tighten a hose clamp & fix it.

U culd get it diagnosed @ Honda & fixed if it's simple, but imo, the brand's dealer should do anything complex, and seemingly simple things can be complex.

Replacing the head gasket would be complex to start w/. If they'r damaged, they can cause internal coolant loss, with no external leaks.

Where do u take it for reg sched maint? Not Quicky Lube places, I hope.

what do you want them to do? buy you some coolant? sorry i doubt they will. just go to an auto dept store and get some. make sure you get the RIGHT one.

If you purchased a maintenance package with your car then it it covered, but other than that no. As far as a Honda dealer doing the work they are the same as an Acura dealer. Acura only exists in the USA
