Would this motorola external radio work with a midland handheld radio.?

I found this external motorola radio http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-53862-External-Speaker-Microphone/dp/B00008JOM4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1316552947&sr=8-1 and I have a consumer midland radio http://www.amazon.com/Midland-GXT1050VP4-36-Mile-50-Channel-Two-Way/dp/B001WM73P0/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1316553204&sr=8-6 would this work or not.Thx.
