Would you complain about one day of unpaid overtime (about $40)?

Last week I sat down with my manager and she was mad that I was refusing to complete a checklist before my shift (to make sure everything is ready for your shift) unpaid. I told her this is a violation of the labor law. It ended after I gave her a copy of a response to an email I sent the labor board stating that I was right. She was not impressed about it.

This time my employer did not pay me for the half time (they paid me straight time, instead of time and a half) on one day I worked last week.

The labor law where I live defines a week as a Sunday through Saturday. And any more than forty hours in a week is entitled to overtime.

My employer uses a Monday through Sunday week.

So, using my employers week I should not get overtime, but the law says I should.

Is it worth making another argument over this?

I like my job, I just don't like how the fail to follow proper labor guidelines.
