would you go deaf if you shot a .357 magnum without ear plugs in a room or something

this isnt really a hunting question but i had to put hunting there so i could pick that categorey

pretty much what im asking is if you shot a .357 magnum in a house or something would you go deaaf if you diddnt have ear plugs
