Government and Religion must remain seperate. Anytime that you try to infuse Christianity or any other religion with state, the state will inevitably attempt to justify its own Will, especially wars, by the name of that religion. You cannot serve two masters. Christ served as the best example to show us how to live and how to treat others, but He never went around telling His disciples that what He was teaching was Christianity.
The Roman Empire fused "Christianity" into their empire in order to give the misconception to the people that disobeying the emperor and his orders was also disobeying God. The people were foolish enough to fall for it, and this was the first time in all history that state and religion were fused together. It has never been the same since. The path the Christ walked was extremely narrow because in the laws of human conscience, there are no loop holes.
Any time you try to incorporate a religion that imposes its will upon the personal freedoms and choices of others, what to believe, what no to believe, and what is "Gods Law", then you are under a false way of life. Christ had the original recipe, but that recipe was corrupted as soon as it was presented aftewards simply by the format it was set up in. There is no hierarchy among men or women. There is no one superior or inferior. Sects that attempted to create positions of authority and hierarchies only contradict the actual teachings Christ taught. Christ literally washed the feet of His discples to show that despite the miracles He performed and the authority God had given Him, He was still not above any single act of service for humanity. He did not come wearing gold rings or precious robes. He came wearing a crown of thorns.
