Would you say I'm a selfish Christian?

I think I am. Some kind Christians (or non-Christians) will be there for their friends & comfort them when needed; however, I'm a coward. If somebody I knew needed comfort, I am not the person for the job. I always run away & come back when it's all over, as I don't like dramas & hate seeing people cry.

However, I be wanting comfort at times mainly by the folks on yahoo answers. Thanks everybody, btw.

Well I don't think "selfish" is the right word. Maybe you're better in a different way - we're made with different abilities (Rick Warren calls this "shape"). So just use your ability the best way you can.

Some people just aren't good in comforting situations, your friends obviously see something in you if they want to be your friend.

Jesus taught that you shouldn't judge, this includes the judging of yourself. Everybody is perfect, simply by being who you are enables you to conform to this perfection.

I'm not Christian.
 
Be encouraged!!! The fact that you even asking this question means you not selfish and that you do in fact care! However if i may i would like to encourage you even more keep being a friend and dont label yourself as something if God wants to use you in all kinds of situations! So step out of the boat and walk on water. Go to your friends and comfort them be there for them listen to them and give them Godly advice! Allow God to use you! You sound like some one that wants to be the best you can for God! So do it take those opportunities pour your love out to your friends and the moments when you go and bless your friends you will be amazed how you will be blessed by God interms of growing closer to Him!!!
