Would you take a great veteran or a good rookie?

I personally would take a veteran because they have great basketball knowledge and a great veteran would already have their game down to automatic and consistant like Kobe, Nash, KG etc. Who would you take a great and consistant veteran or a high potential rookie? John Wall vs. Nash for example
