I have a mid-late 70s 3 speed that is possessed by the devil. It is nominally a 3 speed, but something is jammed so it only has one speed. I don't understand how 3 speeds work (I tried to learn but it was too confusing without diagrams) so I don't know wtf is going on. It takes all my weight to make this sucker move. It's gotten much worse since I accidentally ramped over... I don't know what, it was dark under an overpass... but I flew like ET and ever since I hit the ground it has been incredibly stubborn. It's pretty much impossible to ride it now. The chain doesn't slip or miss, it doesn't make any weird noises, and the brake is not rubbing... and I am ready to burn this mother alive. Please advise. Thank you.
It's an AMF Roadmaster "Nimble" mixte that one of my neighbors found all dusty in his garage last year. I have been drunkenly falling off it quite a bit ever since and this may have something to do its problems.
