xbox 360 windows media player not playing divx movies?

OK, I have just set up my xbox 360 to use windows media centre from my computer connected through my LAN. Thing is, I have alot of Divx movies that I have made of my family etc and It wont play them. I understand you need a codec to play DIVX movies but does anyone know if it's possible to download this codec onto my 360? I'd really like to watch these vids on a big screen for once.

try getting xbox 360 media center on xbox.com. it can play more formats and is really good, just install it on your computer and then the xbox will pick it up
 
i changed mine to .avi fine for my 360

hope that helps, you can download the converter from lots of places
