Xbox and divx do they mix?

I've seen from other yahoo answers that you can play divx on your xbox but you have to download and update on the market place. Unfortunately my internet does not connect to xbox live for some wierd reason so. Is there anyway i can download and update without going to the market place. And can i get a link there cuz i can't find it on they're website.
 
well in order to access the marketplace you have to have xbox live and you have to have the marketplace to download things like divx
