I torrented "Soul Surfer" off of www.thepiratebay.se, and it seems to be working fine for everyone else, but on my computer, every time I try to play the movie, there's no audio! It's an AVI file extension. I've downloaded DivX Plus player and VLC Media player, plus AC3. Still, nothing seems to work. Do I have to download certain codecs? What do I do to fix this problem?

Thanks!
Oh wow. Actually, I just figured out something new. I tried playing different movies on all 3 media players, and the audio's not working on ANY of them! If I go to YouTube, however, the sound works on videos there.

Weird :s

If you want to stick to your default Media Player, you need to install external codecs like the free 'Windows 7 Codec Pack':
http://download.cnet.com/windows/video-players/

It's works on XP, Vista and 7.

A better alternative is to use a totally different but better media player called KMPlayer. It's free and can play any media format that you throw at it. It has all the codecs you need built-in:

Just read the installation instructions very well so you can decline the installation of the Ask Toolbar that comes bundled with most free programs. You don't need that.
