I recently joined Tumblr& always see this cartoon referred to as "trollface" and then this laughing "Yao Ming Trollface;" when did this start?

Ideas on why it's so popular on Tumblr?

Most meme sites are using it right now. I first saw it on 9gag. It has been around for a while now.
