Yellow Mazda rx8, 2004. what can I do to make it less girly? Interior and

Exterior, and under the hood? Just got a rx8 yellow, and everyones telling me it's a girl car and color, I relize yellow is a girl color
but I know you can make it "manly", can somehelp give me some advice like what can I do to the exterior, interior, the engine, the exhaust, anything? Also I
would like to know what in the exhaust people do, to make it sound real deep
 
Black split racing stripes? Think Bumblebee out of transformers?

Please don't get a mental exhaust, its just plain silly, the car you have has a growl when you push it, dont drown out the engine with a noisy exhaust that sounds like its broken... Trust me, I drove about in my 1999 Honda Civic with a busted exhaust, for oh about a day, before the shame made me book the car in early to get it fixed... Its not cool, its weird. Why spend all that money on a nice wee motor then make it sound like a train wreck... It will never sound like it has a beefy american muscle car V8 under the bonnet no matter how much you spend on a performance exhaust...
 
Your not going to get a deep sound out of the rotary engine, that is just not going to happen. If you wanted a deep exhaust note you should have bought a car with v6 or v8.

I don't understand why you think people saying its a girls car is a bad thing. They are basically saying girls like the looks of the car enough to buy them, so that tells me they will love your car. Nothing wrong with that.

Dude I know excatly what you need, bc I was in the same boat. I have a 04 lightning yellow RX8. It is the GT 6 speed and sun roof. Ok well first when some says why is it yellow you say HEY its LIGHTNING YELLOW, its the most rare and makes it way more exotic. But as far as what you need to make it more "manly" is a borla exhuast I got one for 800 from the rx7store.com and it is very deep and thoatry, i love it and makes that great pop noise and gets pretty loud when u open it up, deff sounds amazing and at the same time dose not sound like all those crapy honda exhausts that sound like a fat man farting in a tin can. Another manly touch is a set of black carbon fiber fender strakes that i got for 80 bucks from rotaryfx.com (great online store for rx8 stuff) now those strakes are a great touch to the car that give a nice aggressive bite. If you havent already get a dark black window tint all around deff adds a great look, blackin out the head and tail lights is somethin else u should look at.

Another thing that I am working on that is a must with the lightning yellow rx8 is a set of Black racing rims, im savin for a set now and will do a staggered fitment with 18x9s in the back with a wider wheel and 18x8.5 in the front. After I do the rims, it will do the racing beat revi intake and air duct to give the engine a little more spunk and also makes the engine sound a bit more aggressive. Im also thinkin about taking off all the emblems and painting them black, I think that will be a nice touch as well. As you can see Im goin in the direction of adding a lot of black to give it that manlyness, but at the same time tryin not to go over board with it, but its looking good so far.

There are also some awesome looking fiberglass hoods with air vents that look pretty sweet or a CF hood if ur into that look but I personally want to do a fiberglass one and get it painted to match the yellow of the car. I deff would not add black racing strips to an rx8 that look is more suited to a mustang or viper and again personally think it would like pretty horriable on the rx8, but to each his own.

Well I hope I gave you some good tips to manly up your ride, it deff worked for me. But congratz on the Lightning yellow rx8 it IS the best color for the rx8 it really stands out and I never lose it in a parking lot!
