What is the first thing you consider in buying a vehicle to the last?

Basically, do you have a check list that you go by in getting a vehicle? If so, what are the things you look for ?

I go to the library and check out "Consumer Reports" on the type of car I am looking for. Putting most of my attention into frequency of repairs and any pattern to costs there. Some cars have very good repair records the first two or three years and then drop off.
If I am going to sink money into a car (new or used) I want a reliable car at least as far as the body and power train are concerned. I can put up with the lack of creature comforts and poor sound systems. But I don't want a car that will prove to be unreliable.
From there I look at prices, the final choice often is made based on the dealers reputation.
