Asians) do this? I think it is wrong, ugly and that they should stay the same as they came out of the factory. Not to be racist or anything, but why do black people typically do it? I have 4 biker friends with CBRs and 1 of them is black and he has his extended. Another student on campus also has his extended and hes black too... Not to be racist or anything. It just pisses me off because i think it kills the bike.
Even if its "safer" or for drag racing purposes, it just looks ugly.

The real reason this would be done for racing is to change the front to rear center of gravity making the bike more difficult to wheelie. Something very useful for drag racing. Not a good idea for road racing.

The minorities you are stereotyping are doing this because for some reason they think it looks cool.

Why should this bother you? You don't make the payments on their bikes, they don't make the payments on yours. You should not be so worried about what others ride and you should not be so insecure that you worry about what others think about your ride.

Stop being such a bigot.

To stand out, get noticed, break the rules of norm.
Why do guys walk around with their pants hanging below
their crotch showing their underwear?

I think they look cool! I HATE stock cookie cutter bikes that all look the same! That's why I build my own choppers.Guess what? I chopped a GIXXER! And those lowered, extended sport bikes ROCK! So you go ahead and ride around like Larry Lunch meat on a bike that looks like everybody Else's.

As Kenneth stated it's mostly a drag-racing 'style' and I can accept that for what it is.
On the other hand my riding style is not fast from Stop sign to Stop sign, so I don't really care.

My style is from point A to point Z (and all the other Letters in between) graphed out on the windy road from here to Eternity. As an extended rear swing-arm means that the axles are farther apart the length/degree of arc around every corner is extended by a % (depending on length of the extension) and that 'in turn' extends the length of my trip. Now I don't mind extending my trip but I'd rather do it by 'time' rather than by a micro-faction of an inch in every corner, my tires wear out fast enough already, thank you very much.

To break the racial barrier.. I'm white, going in to law enforcement, and also like an extended bike with a 300 or 330 tire on the back. I don't like it extended waaaayyyy back but up to 12"s I think really makes a bike look better.. the actual purpose of an extended swing arm is to keep the front end dowm when taking off hard (drag racing purposes). You can take off way harder without you ending up on your back from the bike turning over.

For dragracing and such it is beneficial.
For normal roaduse, turning and so on; not beneficial.

And there is not a minority doing it, it's a majority. And that majority is called "retards".
They do it because they think it looks cool. Thats it.
