watching a dvd? I dont get it, the picture it totally clear when watching a DVD, however if i watch my verizon fios (cable tv) it is totally blurry. Is the tv broken or is the line bad? I had to get rid of the tv, but is it in fact broken? thanks for your help.

Can you plug the cords into the TV without a cable box to record shows you want. I know DVD recorders are old but this is the only way to record shows for a college student.
