I have just bought a 2006 Citroen xsara picasso 1.6 HDi and have noticed that the engine light comes on at startup but dis-appears and I have only one main beam working.

...I test it to be sure? The engine overheats when sitting in traffic and I don't see the fan turning, where is the electrical connection to test it? My mate says it could also be the sensor, how do I find and test that?
