have purchased haynes manual,checked fuses and rev counter is working and all other gauges but speedo has just stopped

When I put the indicator for my Picasso the dashboard panel displays as though hazad lights are on - although the lights work properly. Basically if I put left or righ indicator both the lights glow on my dashboard - is this common for Picasso. Its 56 reg, if that helps!
