I want to know if this receiver will record tv, is it a DVR?

It's the Jumbo Universal Glow Remote. I know it won't fast forward, pause, rewind, and all that jazz. I just want to be able to change the channel in my room! So I need codes for Dish Network DVR! Thanks!

I'm trying to get a recording off my comcast dvr to put it on a dvd.

I did what the manual said, but I still can't get the Vizio remote to control the DVR. Is it even possible?

them to a DVD? That doesn't make sense to me. Back before DVD players, I used to record shows and movies on VHS all the time. Now I record them on my DVR. However, I can't burn movies onto a DVD? How would that be any different than when I used to record onto VHS?

if i already have directv with dvr on one tv and standard boxes on the other 3 tv's. if i bought another box from amazon.com and replaced a standard box would i have to pay the monthly fee for that new dvr?
