Ok here's the deal. I need a device that can record just like a DVR but I don't have to pay a subscription. I don't want a DVD recorder, let alone a VCR. But I want a device that does the same but like a DVR, with no disc or video tapes. I looked and looked and can only find devices that record...
Do I have to have an internet connection to the Receiver box? And can I just download it on there (if so, how?) or do I need someone from Dish to come and hook it up for me?

We just got a new DVR receiver for Directv and are trying to program the remote so it works with the receiver. We have tried pressing mute and select until it beeps twice, and then pressing 00001 and 00002, but it will not work. Does anyone on here have any other methods?
I accidentally set a reminder for a show that comes on pretty much every 3 hours. How do I cancel the recording of the show?

i have dish dvr. idk the model. and i just know the tv is panasonic. but i use to have the volume set to 20 to hear it. and now i gotta set it to 50 just to hear it. but if i switch it to a game like xbox or something its too loud and i gotta set it back down to 20. the dvr needs to be set up...

I have an HDTV that doesn't have that good of quality when watching TV but on my Xbox 360 and Ps3 the quality is flawless. I am thinking about buying the ViP 922 SlingLoaded DVR for Dish Network and I wanna know if it upgrades picture quality.
How come everytime I am only recording 1 show i can only watch the channel which is being recording and all the other channels are a black screen?

The system has been getting pretty laggy, and some of the forums said that a system reset would help with this. However I wanted to find out if it would delete all of the DVR shows my parents have saved before I do this.

did factory restore now when i go to try and record something say for tomorrow i always had to push set priority and that would be that now i hit it and it takes me to another page priority page so i hit done but it never records it how do i go back to where i just hit priority and be done wit it
