I have the stock 18x7.5 rims on my stock 2005 F150 Ford pickup. The rims came with the Lariat package. I was wondering if I were to buy 17x8 rims, if they would rub or cause damage because of the 1/2 inch extra width. I still have the warranty on it, and don't want to damage the truck with them...

my truck is leaking oil a lot out of the oil breather and the dipstick tube i leave it running on idle but don't see any leaks after i clean it off but it is very noticeable to see the oil. I have a pvc valve in where the oil breather goes because the person that had the truck before me broke...
