Is there a free tool for converting .flv to DviX?

My colleague in the accounts department did something to his computer which he does't remember. The end result is that all the excel files in that computer became giberrish (more like Arabic characters). How can we reverse this situation?

When I went to restore my online backup through Mozy, it automatically "tarred" and archived the files together for ease of downloading. There are about ten .TAR files, each about 3 GB. The problem is, when I go to extract the files, I just get an error message saying the files cannot be opened...

I have a dvd that was burned using Windows. The file is an avi and plays fine on my computer as well as on my usb that I can hook directly into my tv. My dvd player supports ntsc. When I burn the dvd and try to play it in my dvd player, the picture is fine but has no sound. How can I fix this?

isp now block the programs, most companies went out business recently that supported them and many misunderstandings and legal issues have arised what do you think? isps will even track them now days and what you download
