jailbreaking

I did all the instructions found here: http://www.iphonedownloadblog.com/2009/10/11/jailbreak-iphone-blackra1n-tutorial/ but then on step four my iPhone entered recovery mode for only about 10 seconds, then instead of showing a picture of geohot, it went into DFU mode. HELP PLEASE!

I just got the 3gs It seems like jailbreaking is a risky thing. Before I decide to do this, what are all of the pros and cons of jailbreaking?

I want to jailbreak my iPhone 3G. I was wondering what would happen if I were to get caught by AT&T or Apple? And can you un-jailbreak it afterwards if you choose to? If you would like, provide a link that's safe and secure so nothing will happen afterwards. Thanks.

I'm just sick of the green! And if there is a way to change the font too, that would be great, but it's not necessary. I'm primarily concerned with the bubble color, and I don't want to jail-break my phone or do anything crazy to it.

hi ok so i want to jailbreak my itouch 3g... apparently it will be a tethered jailbreak meaning what????does it mean everytime my itouch turns off due to lack of battery i will lose all my apps or just my cydia apps or does it mean everytime i turn it off i will lose all apps or just cydia apps...

I'm just sick of the green! And if there is a way to change the font too, that would be great, but it's not necessary. I'm primarily concerned with the bubble color, and I don't want to jail-break my phone or do anything crazy to it.

is their anyway to get free ringtones without jail breaking your iphone, likw make ringtones from ur songs?

okay,, i've never jailbroken an ipod but i want to.. i have tons of music i hhave from diffrent comupters.. so if i jail broke it (with blackrain) would it delete my songs apps videos or what else? itd be a pain to get it all back

Right so like most people, normal SMS tones are abit lame! Do any of you know how to get custom or other ones on the phone? you can get custom ringtones :D but not SMS tones :(
