Nutrition labels on food products tell you Calories and Fat Calories. When you are trying to check how many calories you consume per day, do you look at only Calories or Both? For example, an egg has 80 Calories and 70 Fat Calories but on several websites it says that eggs have around 85...
What is the main information to look at when checking out the nutrition labels on my food? I know you shouldn't look at just the calories or the fat grams- but what else is important to keep track of?
1) Approx. how many Calories are in 1g of fat?
2) a) A label on Chocolate milk says:
Fat 3g / per severing
Saturated Fat 1.5g / per serving
Does it mean that the product has 4.5 g of fat in total per serving or does it mean that 1.5g of the 3g is Saturated fat?
