region

My computer's dvd player is set to Region 1, and it looks like there is no way to change it to Region 0. So, if I get a DVD that is Region 0, will it play?

I'd much prefer if the DVDs were, 'Star Trek: The Original Series (Remastered and Enhanced)'.

I can not find my particular season on DVD anywhere online, it is a box set, containing 6 volumes, from very beginning of the show. I was just interested, as i can not find it online, and just wandered if it was rare. Thanks for any help on this issue. Chrake

i read on wikipedia that it is available in Germany region 2 but does that have an English version? it also said region 4 Australia. do they play ok on region 2 dvd players?

I have lots of DVDs from all around the world and I'm planning to buy a BluRay player. Is there one that play all regions DVDs or that can be modified to do it? Also, I'm not buying from shady companies on the Internet that offer these players over $300, so don't recommend them.
