Hey, I'm planning on getting me a portable DVD player since I watch lots of anime and TV shows, what I wanted to ask is: are portable DVD players locked to a certain region? can they be unlocked if so? I live in the middle east so most of my DVDs are region 2 but I've got some which are region 1!

I just bought a new DVD on yesasia.com, unfortunately my dvd couldn't read the disc. It says check region DVD or something like that. What can I do now? I just checked the region DVD area: I live in Australia which is Region 4 but the disc is in region 2. I purchased it for $70. Anyone helps me...

I've got a couple of DVDs that seem normal, but when you put them in a PC the software says that they have my normal region code on them, but also region 7? I brought them new from a reputable retailer, not off of eBay or somewhere like that. so I don't think that it means that they are fake...

Normally UK is region 2, is region 0 (stated as region free all areas) DEFINITELY ok for UK DVD players, or just for newer DVD players? Many thanks for your help, have a lovely day. ;-D
