    Why do we wait for indicator's of interest when it comes to relationships?

    When it comes to us finding a boyfriend/girlfriend, we usually wait for an IOI (indicator of interest) before we even make a move, or talk to a random stranger. What makes us do this and be so scared of just talking to people in general?
