I am looking into the Garmin forerunner 305 but will be using it on a stationary bike also. Will it still calculate my calories?

Its pretty old, so it has this knob that you turn to make the pedals have more resistence, and I turn it about 3/4 of the way around, and I bike for an hour. I don't go slow either- I go pretty fast. anyways, about how many calories do you think I burn during a workout like this?
I am looking at buying a watch that calculates calorie burned. I will be doing activities on a stationary bike, or Tae Bo so I won't be calculating mile. I know sometimes Garmin can't calculate stationary activities.
