hi! yesterday i copied some new movies from a friends pc,but on my pc the greek subtitles looks like: " ÄÖÖLÜJ..." ! on the other pc the movie was ok,and also i using greek letters on my pc.maby the windows media player dosn't read greek letters? what can i do?

I downloaded a japanese video and it has a separate subtitles file (AS.S file). How do I burn it to dvd so I can watch it on TV? Do I just need to include both the video file and subtitles file? Or do I have to convert them first? Thanks in advance.
