Well what I like to do but not many people do is take regular, white mashed potatoes and put, like, little cubed pieces of chicken or turkey (preferably turkey), and last, but not least, drizzle it with turkey gravy. MMMMM
Thanksgiving is in some ways the best holiday because it is all about ... gravy. But when you dig a little you find racism and religiosity and other icky stuff. Here's an example of what can go wrong:

channel in Maryland? I Live in Maryland. I can't find the 2010 Philadelphia Thanksgiving day Parade on my DirecTV. its supposed to be Channel 6abc or WPVI-TV but its not there i guess because it is local to PA. Any suggestions for me to find it?
They're both vegetarians (no red meat or poultry, everything else is okay). I'm going to make the sides with vegetable broth, so my main concern is the main dish. Right now I'm planning on a salmon steak for each of them, but if there are other creative ideas out there, I'd love to hear them...
