Recumbent Bike, or Stair master? What the best machine or combination of machines to use to get a balanced aerobic work out? What are the pros and cons of each?
Thanks
Okay, I'm training for track season and we're staying at a hotel tomorrow. I can't run outside and I'd rather not skip training while I'm at the hotel, so which is better a stationary bike or treadmill? Whichever one is more like running outside would be preferable.
I'm going to be purchasing some new exercise equipment and want to know what to buy well before I go. Ive already decided to get a rowing machine for strength training. My question is would a stationary bike (what kind?) or a treadmill provide a better cardiovascular workout?
i want to healthily lose about 50 pounds. (fairly quickly)
which one will burn the most calories?
(im not in enough shape to jog/run for an hr so i walk and do 10-40 second sprints)

I want to loss weight healthily and rapidly. I want to lose 60lbs by the end of the year (2009).
I would really like to lose belly fat but I don't know which exercise is the best. I am 5'2" and weight 218 lbs. Please help me!!! My goal 160 lbs! Any suggestions also in a good diet!!!
thank you!
damaged? I run while listening to music. The treadmill is loud. My music is soft. I turn music loud. Music drowns out treadmill. I can hear music now. I worry if my ears are now being damaged because they are receiving both the loud treadmill noise and the loud music noise. Does this hurt my ears?
k so im a 15 year old. 120 lbs. pretty skinny. my thighs are kinda fat. like not HUGE but i want them to have more muscles on the underside, and i want more muscle and lessss fat in my thigh/butt area lol. (mainly focusing on losing fat but muscle is desireable i guess) so basically... I do...
gym? I just joined the gym and I started running on the treadmill, well my knees and my shins were hurting pretty bad. I switched shoes and that helped a little bit but not completely. Then I started biking on one of those stationary bikes, obviously I go a lot farther faster, but is it...
I am trying to get in shape for track that starts in a few months. obviously i cant go outside and run sprints like i used to b/c of the weather. i've been running on the treadmill at 10 mph for 12 minutes. i've read not only will that not help it might actually hurt me or slow me down...
I've never done track before and I'd like to be prepared when it's time. I have a treadmill and I'd rather not go outside since it's really cold this time of year. I also don't need to lose weight or anything like that.
Is there a certain routine i could do to get ready?
