i have a 1997 mazda protege and my 100a fuse is blown which says it provides protection for all my circuits.my car wont attemt to start and none of my electical componets will operate but my front headlights.would this fuse being blown be the problem

You bet ya, this is the main fuse, It controls voltage from the battery to every thing in the car, ( the starter, the turning sig, etc)
I have seen this fuse blow if you try to jump start the car and hook up the cables wrong. Replacing it will get ya everything back.

Just replace the the fuse and everything should be fine. You can always come back for another question.

well you already said it. 100a fuse is blown that provides protection for all your circuits. Get to the nearest auto store and buy a new one. You don't want to be left out in the cold for christmas.
