16 No criminal record class a misdemeanor?

Im 16 years old live in new york city and I had a gravity knife that my friend gave to me. The cops frisked me because I didnt have id and found it so i got arrested and was in a holding cell long story short whats gonna happen at court?? I have no record and im 16 am I gonna have to be put in jail? By the time my court date comes ill be 17.
