I was wondering if there was any problems or advantages with performance or jumping on a honda 1988 model xr 80?

Jumping? No it isnt the best bike for that. Xr 80 is a small bike you are better jumping on an 80 (2stroke) instead. How old are you? Any bike really can clear a jump it depends how much speed you hit the jump with
