1995 GMC Sonama a tough question?

At any time, the speedometer will stop working, the heater blower stops, the check engine light will come on, and the brake light(on the dash)will come on. I never know when it will happen.It might stay like that for a few minutes, or much longer. It seems to happen more often lately. Any thoughts?
 
Bad, loose. or corroded ground strap to the battery.

The battery sits in a tray, and if you follow the negative terminal to the battery tray you will see it is bolted to it.

Alot of times to cable at the tray end will become corroded, or rusty, causing a bad connection.

When you make a turn you might notice the problem you describe. Check this first and I bet it is the problem.

Replace the cable if it is damaged and/or green or white with corrosion.
