1995 toyota 4runner died while driving?

I was driving down the interstate when all of a sudden my battery light came on and my car died... when i try turning the ignition the engine will still turn over but it will not catch; i dont think it is the battery. Is their a possibility that my fuel pump went bad? thanks for the help
 
maybe your alternator is shot. how old is the car? maybe theres water in your fuel. there's a bunch of things you have to take a look at.
