1996 Honda Accord Wont Start D4 Light Stays On?

Battery is fine, radio works and lights are bright.

Tried to jumpstart and nothing.

It seems like the car is stuck in D4 and won't turn on (no clicking noise either). Even if I have the car in Park and try to turn it on, the Park light and the D4 light are lit. If I put it in Neutral, the Neutral light and D4 light are lit. The D4 light only shows as being lit when I turn the key to start.

Anyone know what's up?
 
Try taking positive cable off battery for a minute and put back on might just be comp.problem
 
Sounds ike one of two things to me.

1. Gearbox sensor - (Very cheap to buy sensor however fitting costs can be a bit high)
2. Put the car in neutral and see if you can push it abit (This will determine whether the gear stick indicator is showing the correct gearing position) It could be that the gear stick plate has moved.
3. Starter motor
