I've recently been doing research and looking for a pre-owned vehicle. I've been looking at newer sporty sedans like the 05 Pontiac Grand Prix, etc. However, my father said something to me about the Mark Viii. I looked at it online and wasn't initially impressed. I currently drive a 1993 Ford Thunderbird and have been wanting to get away from that body type. However, upon further review and youtube videos, my interest has grown exponentially!
I found one not too far from here...it's a 1997 Mark Viii with only 42K miles on it for $6,995. I did a carfax history report, especially after seeing the low mileage. The person in Florida who owned it for the first 9 years only put 27k miles on it. I'm thinking retired senior.
Anyhow, looking for people with honest opinions on the vehicle, and wondering if it tends to be more expensive to fix than most cars. Also, if you found a 12 year old car with only 42K miles on it, what would you think?
Thanks so much!
